Overview

Work with construction team members to ensure smooth operations of daily paving on each job. Performs wide responsibilities associated with the down of asphalt.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist paving crew with various duties such as shoveling and raking, luting, using a wheelbarrow, and safely directing backing / dumping trucks into the paver.
• Other miscellaneous duties include but are not limited to equipment maintenance and assisting foreperson and crew members as needed.
• Ability to follow directions.

Skills & Experience

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, inspectors, engineers, and the public permanently.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in company policy and OSHA / MSHA regulations.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
